Christmas music performance!

Ngarie and Leister came to work today for an afternoon of music before Christmas! 

Sensory

I had a nice relaxing sensory session, a snow blizzard theme. I chilled out on the bean bag and nearly fell asleep.

Photography!

For Friday's photography session, we went on a walk from the centre towards the race course to see if there was any interesting buildings to photograph! We worked in teams to create the filter shots we'd been practicing in previous sessions. I liked the classic cars outside the car workshop, and the pattern the ponga made on the fence. ... Photos to follow!

Red Woods Rotorua!

The rain didn't stop me and my friends going to explore the Rotorua Red Woods last Friday! It was fun being shown around by Fiona's dad. He even took us 12 meters high to the start of the tree top walk, I enjoyed rocking on the bridge. We then walked through the beautiful red woods and went over a stream on a board walk! 

St Chad's of Rotorua

We visited St Chad's of Rotorua, where we learnt about their photography exhibition, and went out to visit one of their favourite photography locations. 

The ladies from St Chad's showed us new photography taking techniques. Such as a good way to capture a good photograph of a seagull is using hot chips! I used the 'Zoom' to capture shots also!

Photography Outing - University

Last Friday we went to the University for photography. I took heaps of photos. I put blue and green over the camera to take photos. I also experimented with 'zoom in' and 'Zoom out'.
I also enjoyed placing the camera on a surface of the swing bridge and then taking a photo from that perspective.

Cooking

I helped make these yummy chocolate muffins on Friday, they were so good.

Photography Project part 1

We have started a project experimenting with putting cellophane over our camera lense. These are photos from our first outing, using orange. we experimented covering the whole screen and half, and doubling the cellophane over for different effects. These photos are from our first session in Greerton town. The week after, we went out and chose our own cellophane colour choices.

Computer time

I really like the paint tool on the computer. I like drawing different things it is fun.

Back to drama

drama has started again this week after 2weeks off over the school holidays. So for now we are working out the story and songs that we will practice. I love going to drama.

End of term three drama was so cool. I played a soldier in the production of the kings new clothes. I loved my soldiers outfit . I got my groove on to all the music. Such fun.

Tennessee Waltz

I went to the Tennessee Waltz concert, I liked some of the music they sang it was so much fun.
